Profractional™ Laser

The ProFractional™ laser is used for deeper skin resurfacing and scar revision. The laser forms thousands of micro-channels in the skin to trigger the body’s wound healing response and generate new collagen growth. This effectively helps tighten the skin and even skin tone to address various concerns, such as fine lines, deeper etched wrinkles, and scars. The ProFractional™ laser does not ablate the entire surface of the skin, but rather a fraction of the skin, thereby decreasing pain, downtime and complications, while delivering impressive results.

 

ProFractional™ laser resurfacing can be used for:

  • Pigmented Lesions (sun freckles, age spots, brown spots, “liver spots,” seborrheic keratoses/”wisdom spots”)

  • Sun damage

  • Acne scars

  • Surgical scars

  • Traumatic scars

  • Skin laxity

  • Etched in lines/wrinkles

  • Uneven Skin Texture/Tone

 

What to Expect

  • Numbing and cooling are provided for patient comfort.

  • Downtime depends on the area, depth and concentration of the treatment performed.

  • You may notice a sandpaper texture and bronzing of the skin as the microscopic columns begin to heal. This is normal, and signifies proper skin healing and new skin regrowth.

  • Protect your investment. It is recommended that you cover your treated skin and use sun block of SPF 30+ immediately following your treatment (rain or shine).

  • How many treatments will I need?

    • The number of treatments required varies from patient to patient, and Dr. Riemer will personalize a treatment plan based on your skin concerns.
