What to Expect

  • It is recommended that you avoid any sun exposure in the area to be treated for a period of 3 weeks prior to treatment with BBL. Do not undergo treatment when you have a tan. Self tanners must be faded from the skin for at least a week to 10 days prior to treatment.

  • During treatment, you may briefly feel a warm or “rubber band snap” sensation as the light is absorbed by the targeted areas. Topical numbing is available.

  • After treatment, minor redness may last several hours. You may return to your normal activities same day.

  • How many treatments will I need?

    • Hair grows in three stages. Forever Bare™ BBL predominantly treats hairs in the anagen phase, also known as the active growth phase. Since not all hairs are in the same growth stage at the same time, multiple treatments are necessary to target all hair in the treatment site.

    • Most areas require 4-7 treatments at 4-6 week intervals to achieve optimal benefit. Long-term results depend on multiple factors such as hair thickness, the area treated and the hair’s growth cycle.
